Head Rush!!

Avatar for adriella

I’ve been sick quite a bit over the last month, so haven’t had the energy or health to make it into STRENGTH.  I also continue to have near constant pain in my shoulder, so wondered just how much I’d be able to participate.  I almost didn’t go today, for fear of not being “up to ... Read More »

It’s Getting Hot In Here…

Avatar for adriella

Indeed, it was HOT in the studio this morning…we finally have summer here in Seattle, now that it’s September.  Today is the 6th consecutive day over 80, which until now, we hadn’t had in 2011. Today’s format was like Tuesday (and every other day this week), the new “Three’s Company” or whatever it is she’ll end ... Read More »

Tabata

Avatar for adriella

Had to squeeze in one more workout in August, before I leave town for a week with my kids.  It was Tabata style, which I love, because it has the built in rest periods.  But, we did a lot of hard activities, including some aerobic intervals. Jump rope (in lieu of run) Wall Balls Run Reverse Fly Jump rope (in ... Read More »

Friday workout

Avatar for adriella

Still getting used to the heart rate monitor.  Specifically, I forget to stop the program at the end of the workout!  And, it seems, there must be some interference with the bluetooth in my car, b/c it jumps up to 215+ when I’m driving. ?? Workout: Type: Strength Training Date: 08/19/2011 Time: 08:45:00 Total Time: 1:00:00.00 Calories: 457 ... Read More »

Helpful Hints for F3 Week 1

Here are some helpful hints on how to track your progress with the F3 challenge.

  • For help on how to use the site, or questions for Susan or Patti, you can post a message to the F3 group forum. This is a great place for you to also ask your fellow challenge members about hints or tips they have about keeping on target.
  • To record a workout, click “Track Workout” in the orange box on the side of this page. From there you can add “Activity Details” that include what type of exercise you did, how long you exercised, and other details like heart rate, distance, and more. You can let the system automatically calculate your calories burned, or you can enter them yourself. In the “Journal Details” for a workout you can describe your workout, how many sets or reps of what exercises did you do? How did you feel during the workout?
  • To keep accountable with the rest of the group, you can also add daily health and wellness details by clicking “Track Health“. There you can enter “Health Details“, like information about what you ate, and how you’re doing toward keeping your nutrition and wellness commitments. Did you follow the nutritional tip and guidance? Did you eat breakfast? Did you drink Water today? Add more details to your “Journal Details” when you track your daily health, like what food you ate, what other strategies you used to stay on target, etc. Note: you don’t have to include all the details from the “Health Details” if you don’t know them, or don’t want to share them lLike Weight, Body Fat, or Blood Pressure). It will only display the details you entered.
  • If you want to keep your exercise or health details private, you can by selecting “Keep this post private” on the side bar. Your exercise totals will still add up and be included in your totals and the group totals, but your Journal Entry will only be visible to you. But we encourage you to keep as many journal entries as possible public so that the Patti, Susan, and the rest of your F3 friends can cheer you on and offer you encouragement.
